What defines me?

Motto: "Through hardships to the stars." I believe that every obstacle can strengthen us and move us forward – if we have the courage to pursue our goals.

What is most important to me in education?

I want to awaken interest and the joy of learning in my students. The greatest reward for me is when they develop a relationship with a subject that lasts – perhaps for a lifetime. I view education as a journey where the teacher inspires, supports, and helps grow not only knowledge but also personality.

What do I do when I am not at school?

I enjoy resting both actively and passively. I love sports and traveling, but I also enjoy quiet moments with a book – for example, in the garden or by the sea. I also very much enjoy spending time with my family.

Education and Professional Development

My alma mater is Charles University, specifically the Faculty of Science, where I graduated with a (double) major in teaching Biology (and Mathematics) for secondary schools. I completed my Mathematics studies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (MFF UK), where I was most influenced by my thesis supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Zdeněk Hedrlín.

I have been active as a teacher for over ten years. During that time, I have completed countless CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses, leading to the conclusion that one should do their work in a way that authentically enjoys it and finds meaning in it.

What defines me?

Usually the words of other people. I only lie about myself in superlatives.

What is most important to me in education?

"Good quality" – when someone teaches me, I want to feel that they enjoy it, that they want to pass it on to me, and that they can give me something that enriches my inner world.

What do I do when I am not at school?

Shh! I'm playing hooky… or I am with my family.
