Admissions Process and Application

Application for Study

Applications are submitted:

• From June 24 to June 30, 2026 at the latest

• Via a paper form specified by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT).

For the third round of the admission procedure, an applicant may submit an unlimited number of applications. Only one school is listed on a single form (however, multiple fields of education within that one school may be listed). The fields are not listed in order of priority.

• Attach the following to the application:

  • An English language certificate and a request for waiver of the school admission examination (if the applicant is requesting a waiver of the school admission examination).

  • School reports (certificates) for the 1st and 2nd semesters of the 8th grade and for the 1st semester of the 9th grade of elementary school (or the corresponding years of a multi-year gymnasium).

  • A recommendation from a school counseling facility, if the applicant is requesting an adjustment of conditions.

• Admission Examination Dates: School Admission Examination (ŠPZ):

  Date: July 9, 2026

  Location: Michael School, Machkova 1646, 149 00 Prague 4

  If necessary, the school principal will determine a substitute date for the examination.

  The Uniform Admission Examination (JPZ in Czech Language and Literature and Mathematics – CERMAT tests) is not held. The school principal will not take into account the results of the uniform admission examination from the 1st round of the admission procedure during this 3rd round.

The admission examination is free of charge.
A medical certificate of health fitness is not required.

Applications are submitted:

• From May 19 to May 25, 2026

• Electronically via the DiPSy system (method recommended by the school)

• Via a paper form (delivery method: registered mail, data box, or in person)
  Delivery address:

For the second round of the admission procedure, an applicant may submit an application for a maximum of 3 fields of secondary education without a talent examination and 2 fields with a talent examination. In the application, the applicant shall list the fields in order of their personal preference. The order of fields cannot be changed after the application deadline has passed.

Attach the following to the application:

• A statement of results of the JPZ (Uniform Admission Examination) didactic tests from the 1st round

• An English language certificate and a request for waiver of the school admission examination (if the applicant is requesting a waiver of the school admission examination)

• School reports (certificates) for the 1st and 2nd semesters of the 8th grade and for the 1st semester of the 9th grade of elementary school or the corresponding years of a multi-year gymnasium

• A recommendation from a school counseling facility, if the applicant is requesting an adjustment of conditions

• A long-term residence permit issued in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine

Admission Examination Dates: School Admission Examination (ŠPZ):

• Date: June 8, 2026

• Location: Michael School, Machkova 1646, 149 00 Prague 4

• No substitute date is held.

The Uniform Admission Examination (JPZ in Czech Language and Literature and Mathematics – CERMAT tests) is not held.

• Results from the 1st round of the JPZ are counted.

• The applicant shall submit the Statement of Results of the JPZ didactic tests simultaneously with the application.

The admission examination is free of charge. A medical certificate of health fitness is not required.

Applications can be submitted in 2 ways:

1. Fully electronic via the DiPSy  This is the most suitable method, which requires a verified electronic identity (e.g., Bank Identity).

2. in paper form nusing the form prescribed by the Ministry of Education (MŠMT), sent directly to the school's address or delivered in person.

   • Please attach school reports from both semesters of the 8th grade and the first semester of the 9th grade of elementary school to your application.

Unified Entrance Examination dates (Czech Language and Mathematics):
1st date: April 10, 2026 (Friday)
2nd date: April 13, 2026 (Monday)

Substitute dates for the unified entrance examination: April 29 and April 30, 2026.

School Entrance Examination dates:
1st date: April 10, 2026 (Friday)
2nd date: April 14, 2026 (Tuesday)
3rd date: April 21, 2026 (Tuesday) (the specific date is determined by the school)

Substitute date for the school part of the entrance examination: May 4 or May 5, 2026 (the specific date is determined by the school)

The entrance examination is free of charge.
A medical certificate of health fitness is not required.
