Educational Walk through Vyšehrad

Searching for the Traces of Famous Personalities

On Monday, June 22, 2026, the students set out on a historical walk to Vyšehrad. The first part of the program tested their attentiveness and knowledge directly at the Vyšehrad cemetery at Slavín. The students were tasked with locating the tombstones of five prominent Czech personalities based on clues and textual descriptions. This research activity led them to the resting places of the greatest figures of our history and showed them national heritage in practice.

The Mysterious Atmosphere of the Vyšehrad Catacombs

The second half of the expedition took the students underground. Together, they descended into the Vyšehrad catacombs, where they had the opportunity to explore hidden defensive corridors and view a unique space featuring the originals of some of the statues from the Charles Bridge. The walk thus offered the students a great combination of discovery, history, and experience in the heart of Prague.
